Description of property

Skalná ruža guest house is located close to UNESCO world heritage caves near the entrance to the Slovak Karst national park. The surroundings provide many exquisite natural and cultural sites. Visitors can make trips to the beautiful castle of Krásna Hôrka, Betliar Manor House, the famous gothic church in Štítnik village, the historical city of Rožňava, the romanesque rotunda in Šivetice or the village Gemer – the heart of the Gemer region. Nearby UNESCO caves: Domica, Aggtelek, Gombasek, Ochtinská Aragonite Cave, Krásnohorská Cave and Dobšinská Ice Cave.

The guest house is a meeting place for cyclists and the starting point of the main cycling route of the Slovak Karst. It is also a great starting point for other cylicling routes and hiking trails. In addition, this locality offers possibilities for horseback riding and wellness.

The educational trail – Karst mechanisms of Gemerská Hôrka – has its starting point in the guest house garden. This facility offers year-round accomodation in 2 and 3 bedded rooms with a private bathroom (toilet and shower), television and refrigerator.
