Description of property

The Granit mountain hotel,** located 12 km south of Ružomberok at an altitude of 1,428 metres above sea level, is the highest situated recreation centre in Central Europe. The hotel offers perfect conditions for sports, relaxation and entertainment with standard accommodation and catering services. The accommodation in the hotel complex is available in single, twin or three bedded rooms and suites. Tourists can also find accommodation in a tourist hostel or various log cabins. There is a highest located cinema in Slovakia.

In winter, you can ski on the groomed slope or skate on the outdoor ice rink. The ski rental shop and ski school are also available in the centre. 

Thanks to its location it has ideal conditions for summer hiking as well. There are a number of hiking trails and several cultural sites (Vlkolínec, Orava Castle, Demänovská Valley), thermal swimming pools and water parks (Thermal Park Bešeňová, Aquapark Tatralandia – Liptovský Mikuláš). It is an ideal place to relax in the heart of the Veľká Fatra (Greater Fatra) and the best opportunity to experience a peaceful stay in the beautiful countryside of the national park.
